Dan Brown, Hospital Administrator, Co-Owner
After spending 18 years in the hospitality industry as a Chef & Pastry Chef, Dr. Brown & I teamed up to open Capital Cat Clinic in 1998. It has been a great experience in building a Veterinary Clinic from the very beginning. I have a degree in Business Management and gained many valuable skills in my prior industry that helped the Clinic "think outside the box". After having as many as 6 cats at home, I don't miss pulling out the vacuum every other day, but I do miss all the wonderful cats. I am tempted to take Cricket home, but I think she may become bored being at home all day without all the attention she receives here at the clinic and she may miss her sister Emme.
I still enjoy cooking, traveling to NYC, Chicago, Mexico or quiet times in West Virginia. I was raised in Washington DC and have lived here most of my life, truly a great city. If you need any assistance please always feel free in contacting me at the clinic or send me an email. I want to thank everyone for their support of Capital Cat Clinic over the past 11 +years, Thank You!
Darin Sellers, Office Manager

Darin knew he would be working and sharing his life with animals from a very young age. He graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. in Psychology & emphasis in Animal Behavior. After completing an internship with the U.S. Marine Mammal Program, training dolphins & sea lions he began working with a non-profit , no kill shelter in San Diego, assisting in rehabilitating & re-homing orphaned animals.
Darin began his management career working to develop and expand a luxury dog & cat boutique concept from natural foods, supplements, custom design bedding and apparel. Eventually, overseeing the 5 locations and building a strong base of customer loyalty in each market allowed him to truly understand the importance of the pet and pet parent relationship.
Outside of the cat world, Darin is also a certified Dog Trainer and spends his free time with his two boxers, Sherman & Wyatt, plus his cat Leo. He is a strong supporter of animal rescue and welfare organizations, enjoys cooking and loves the beach. We at Capital Cat Clinic are glad to have him on board.
Please feel free to call upon Darin for any needs you may have.
